Funding your Veteran Business
www.veteranscorp.org website provides veterans:
- Access to capital - complete their questionnaire to see if you are eligible for
two funding programs (The Veterans Corp program and/or the National Economic Opportunity Program).
- Access to bonding - complete a questionnaire and you will be contacted about next steps for
obtaining surety bonding.
- Access to entrepreneurial education - The Veterans Corp offers a 3-day seminar and training programs across the
US. Their website also includes online training seminars. This training can be paid from
Montgomery GI Bill education benefits.
Education Benefits - free training through SBDCs and certain professions
Veterans can use their Montgomery GI Bill benefits to pay for entrepreneurial training
through a Small Business Development Center or for training as a:
- Barber/beautician
- EMT
- HVAC technician
- Truck driver
